Exercise and Care for your Feet

Exercise for your feet:

We all know that “exercise” plays an important role in our life. The same way exercise for your feet also plays a vital role. Do not take this as a joke. Each foot is made up of 26 bones, 33 ligaments, and 19 muscles and tendons which hold the foot together which means bones in your feet make up about one quarter of the bones in your body. Exercise regularly to maintain and improve the circulation in the feet.

1. Sit erectly on a chair and raise your legs up. Fold and unfold your toe fingers 6-7 times.

2. Raise your leg in the air and rotate your feet. First rotate your feet to your left and then to your right 5 -6 times each.

Care for your feet:

Good, comfortable shoes are extremely important to maintain the health of your feet. Choose shoes that are the correct size and provide your feet with comfort and support. Always wear the right shoe for the right occasion.

1. Wash your feet daily. Avoid water that is too hot or too cold. Use lukewarm water. Dry off the feet after washing, especially between the toes.

2. Soak your feet in a basin with lukewarm water and salt mixed together for 7 - 10 minutes. Wipe your feet with a dry towel especially between the toes. Then apply the mixture of glycerin and little rosewater to your feet for few minutes and then wipe it off.

3. Cracked heels: Before you go to bed, soak your feet in warm soapy water for 15 minutes. Dry your feet thoroughly afterwards, particularly between the toes. Then make a mixture of:

Vaseline - 1tspLime juice -
1 whole lemon.
